Set up the footer

Reel’s footer holds your menus, a short text, a newsletter signup, social links, the country and language selectors, and your store name set very large. Everything is set in one Footer section.

1. Footer blocks

Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize and click Footer. Add blocks with Add block:

• Menu: a Heading and a Menu. Add one block per menu, for example Shop and Help. Build the menus in Content → Menus.
• Text: a Heading and a short Text, for example what you make and where.
• Newsletter: a Heading and a Button label. You can add one.

Newsletter signups appear as customers in Shopify admin, tagged newsletter and subscribed to email marketing. The Newsletter section on the home page works the same way.

2. Footer settings

• Show oversized store name: your store name set across the bottom in the display face. Oversized name replaces it with other words, for example a shorter name.
• Show Follow on Shop: a button that lets shoppers follow your store in the Shop app. It needs Shop Pay.
• Show country and language selectors: shows them when your store sells in more than one country or language.
• Show payment icons: the payment methods you accept.
• Color scheme.

Your store policies are listed at the bottom automatically. Add or edit them in Settings → Policies.

3. Social links

Social icons come from Theme settings → Social media. Paste the full link to your profile for Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Pinterest or Facebook. An icon shows only when its link is filled in.
