Count down to a drop

The Drop countdown section counts down to a fixed launch date and time. When the time comes, it switches by itself to a second message with a button to the drop. Reel Dusk’s home page starts with one. You can add it to any preset.

1. Add the section

1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
2. Click Add section and choose Drop countdown.
3. Set the Heading, for example the drop’s name. The heading stays the same before and after the drop, so pick words that work in both.

2. Set the date and time

Type the launch time in Drop date and time, in this exact form: 2026-11-20 10:00 -0500.

• The first part is the date, year first.
• The second part is the time, on a 24-hour clock.
• The last part is your time zone’s offset from UTC. For example, New York in winter is -0500, London in winter is +0000, and Berlin in winter is +0100.

3. Write both messages

• Text before the drop shows next to the clock while it runs.
• Under After the drop, Text shows once the time has passed.
• Button label and Button link add a button after the drop. Leave the link blank to send shoppers to all products. The button shows only after the drop, never before.

4. What shoppers see

• Before the drop: the heading, your text, and a clock with days, hours and minutes. The clock has no seconds and updates once a minute.
• At the launch time, the clock and the first text disappear. The second text and the button take their place. Shoppers don’t have to reload the page.
• The section stays in this “after” state until you change or remove it. Update the date and both texts for your next drop.
